It takes a whole village to raise a child
Tuesday 13 November 2007
9.30am to 1.00pm
The Oval Conference Centre, SE11

Without strong parenting and leadership skills in families and the community, there is the potential for children to develop anti-social behaviour and for community cohesion to break down. To effectively intervene, parenting and leadership training need to be provided.

The Triangle Way Forward project put community empowerment at its heart. It aimed to help parents on the Moorlands Estate in Brixton who wanted to make a difference in their community, and whose children were at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour. This event will include:

• presentations on the unique approach taken and key learning points
• a chance to meet some of the parents involved and to hear about their experience
• a debate and Q&A with the partners involved.

If you would like attend the event, please contact June England on 020 7501 2297.

Triangle Way Forward is a parenting skills project formed by the partnership of Metropolitan Housing Trust (MHT), In-volve and the Housing Corporation.
