Planned maintenance
MHT London is committed to ensuring your home is maintained to the highest standards by carrying out regular repairs and improvements.
This financial year (2009/10), we will be reinvesting over £17m of the money we receive in rent and other contributions to carry out planned maintenance works to our properties.
In addition to the regular statutory requirements which this money is spent on, such as gas servicing and electrical checks, we will:
- re-decorate 2,384 homes (external and communal areas)
- install 600 new kitchens
- re-wire 600 homes
- carry out major aids and adaptation works on 100 homes
- upgrade the boiler and heating systems in 900 homes
- install new doors in 64 homes
- carry out major refurbishment on 60 homes.
Estate and cyclical improvements
Some recurring items of property maintenance will be undertaken on regular cycles, e.g. the external decoration of a property. We also look at making continual improvements to properties or blocks including installing entry doors to increase security as well as undertaking environmental improvements to estates which include topping up the loft insulation and, where we can, filling the wall cavity with additional insulation.
Our planned maintenance team will contact you if you are due to have any of the above works carried out during this financial year. If you have any queries regarding any planned maintenance to your home please contact our Customer Services team on 0800 783 2399.
